Question: What is TiVo?

Answer:

The TiVo® media device is a media device that combines digital terrestrial television with broadband content, services and games.

Question: What will be available on the TiVo?

Answer:

All Freeview Content will be available via the TiVo as well as more online content via CASPA (CASPA is a Video On Demand system)

TV3 +1 (TV3 but played an hour behind)
Prime (No EPG will be available)

Radio New Zealand National (Radio Station)
Radio New Zealand Concert (Radio Station)

Question: What will I need?

Answer:

For the Service you will need (as far as we know at the moment)

TiVo Unit
UHF Antenna
Broadband Internet Connection – If you are not with Xtra then you will not be able to use the CASPA Video on Demand system) but everything else should work

Question: How much will it cost?

Answer:

At Launch the prices which have been announced are:

$920 which includes the TiVo Unit, Wireless Adapter and Home Networking Package.
Telecom Broadband Customers can pay up front cost of $200 and then $30 a month for 2 years.

1T Expander Unit: $369.00 incl GST
HDMI Cable : $49.00 incl GST
Replacement Wireless Adapter: $89.00 incl GST
Replacement TiVo Remote: $49.00 incl GST
Home Networking Bundle (MAK): Unknown as its included until 24th Jan 2010
